Urbanization greatly changed the space form of traditional village,and the space form affects the spatial cognition of space users. Using space syntax,on the basis of the quantitative analysis of the village space form,exploring the relationship between village space form and residents’ living security.The results show that: (1) The sense of residents living safety is poor in Zhucun,It is closely related to the long and narrow roadpath,disorderly residential structure;(2) In the structure of village spatial form,the sense of living safety of “street type” is different from “tunnel type”, space fabric and natural monitoring is the main reason;(3)The influence of spatial form on residents is different, the residents who are young women are the biggest, virtual community formed by Natural Surveillance is different from the traditional defensible space,coexistence and sense of coexistence is a kind of important social resources, is an important part of space design.This study provides beneficial enlightenment for the spatial form transformation and material landscape change of the traditional village failed in the process of urbanization.The paper also introduces a new view to discuss the residents living safety.
